I used Turtle wax bug and tar remover.
- spray it on and let is soak for 5 minutes
- Use a microfiber cloth to wipe off the excess
- Use dental floss to cut through the weakened adhesive
- spray on more bug and tar remover and use a microfiber cloth to remove the remaining adhesive/gunk
- wash
- wax
