I got my Gialla grill from the group buy Monday and it was painted today. I didn't tell them how to paint it so they painted the center strip behind the mesh too. I thought that might look funny but I figured I can always fix that myself with paint or black tape or something. Here's what it looks like (the lighting is a bit dark so it might be hard to see the center strip). Should I keep it this way?

By the way I have an Infiniti logo on the way that I will stick in the middle of the grill. I wonder how that'll go with that DG strip in the middle.

It is your car and it looks good. I would paint the center strip black so it could not be seen. Just my opinion. Did you have to cut anything on the car to install the grill? Thanks

 

No cutting needed to install the grill. Very simple install.
I'm probably going to sit on that DG strip in the middle for a little while to see how I feel about it. I mainly wanted to ask if it's odd to have that part of the Gialla grill painted.

buying a gialla/data grill was in my plans, but the more i look at them, the more they look cheap. looks like something from a civic.to each his own guess

 

love the grill. im planning on ordering one from either gialla or data systems.

Pimp I think it looks better with the open grill rather than stock. Then hopefully you will get the intercooler to bring out the open-ness. If that makes sense.

It was $280 for the grill and $140 for the paint job. I'm sure if you shopped around you could get a lower price on the paint job, but I thought $140 was decent.

So you guys don't think that painted center strip is a big problem?
