Help for instaling side markers !!

Hi

i just received my INFINITI G35 03-06 2DR CLEAR SIDE MARKER today from ebay. the clear side markers look great but they don't fit my g35 coupe. no matter how hard i push the side marker into the socket, it doesn't work at all because the metal part of the side marker is a little wider to fit in the socket.

please tell me what should i do now ?? bend the metal part a little bit?? but if i do so, will it easily be loose afterwards?

You should be able to bend them a little.. just don't do it back and forth.

yah, it gets better when i bend it a little bit, but it still can't get in. if i push in with force, i think it might break the notch.

Was the person reputable? I ordered mine from a G35 site and they pop in and out pretty smoothly. Even though it's something small, let this be a lesson... saving money more often then not causes more issues then are necessary.
