Water leaking into Car when it rains...Need Input..

First off has anyone else had issues with water leaking into your car?? specifically on the passenger side of your car front seat footing area?? long story short before when I had my supercharger installed my Main wiring harness grommet in the top left hand corner by your battery was cut altitle bit and water would leak down in through there....After I sold and parted my supercharger and got a new engine installed since I blew it..Infiniti put a brand new wiring harness into my car. The new grommet was not cut or anything so I stopped having issues for a while....

Well this past week here in Dallas it has rained every single day..well sure enough im getting water in the footing area again of my car in the passenger side seat..what sucks is that now my car is smelling like mildew...I pulled up the carpet and saw where water was existing in the floorboard area. I tried tracing back where it could of come from and its already semi-dryed so I Cant locate the water route.

The black tray on the bottom of the glove box had some water standing in it....the only spot I can see that it wold be coming is the Main wiring harness because thats the only spot that comes into the interior of the car.....IT only happens obviously when it rains...It doesnt leak however when I go through a car wash or a manual car wash....My brain is kind of tossed around and I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue can you tell me what your solution was.

Pics are below of what I am dealing with....

since there was water on the under dash trim piece, I would suspect that it's coming from something in the dash, if it were coming from the harness it would likely just follow the wire bundle down. Could it be coming from the ventilation system? I know you can see the cabin filter from the engine compartment if the cowl is removed, mabe water is getting in here and dripping onto the fan motor housing. try pulling the filter to see if it's wet or if there is water in the housing.

what I determined today....I pulled off the black tray and reached my hand all the way up behind the glove box and determined that on the top side of the air vent tubing that runs over to the back of the radio area had water just sitting on it....I checked the wiring harness area all the way up to the grommet and there was only water partially on the wires...Im assuming that dropped down off the top of the ventilation system...now I have to determine where its coming from to get onto the ventilation system...

See my thread for more details and the solution. Essentially the windshield company had mangled the actual rubber windshield seal causing the problem.

Sir, they've gone up the ventilation
shaft.

But in all cereals, most likely it is the windshield seal.

mine ended up being the main portion of the wiring harness into the cabin the rubber grommet was cut and leaking into the cabin by running down the interior harness into the passenger side footwell. I siliconed it and never had an issue and the car is now gone and sold. It was from my supercharger when I ran my Gauge stuff into the cabin.
