Go witht he PIAA H4 Spark Blue 7500 or 8000k bulbs!! It wont be a solid blue like that but will be a BRIGHT white with blue similar to your headlights. Martin

Liu69,

They are Great!!!, you see much more clearly, more bright and a AWSOME look too. I bought them on Ebay. No one could compete with the price. They give that nice "Blue hue"

Re: HID Xenon 8000K

I'm not trying to be a troublemaker but you should know something:There's only TWO color types of HID bulbs made.. 4000/4500K and a 5000/5000K That's it. There is no higher. The "blue" shade you get from the audi/bmw is due to their D2P (we used D2R for reflector) Projector lamps that focus the blue/purple color tone. Those 8000K bulbs are actually 5500 that are probably coated.. but do keep in mind that 4000/4500K are actually the whitest and give the most light.

Once again.. I'm not trying to cause havoc I used to have HID's on my old Sentra, and learned alot with them... but if ya like em.. woot woot!

Re: HID Xenon 8000K

Philips makes a 6000K bulb called the ultinon. It is uncoated. The projector bulbs are actually D2S. While the 4000-4500K bulbs are indeed the brightest in terms of lumen output, they are yellow/white. The whitest bulbs are around 5000K with 6000K bulbs being white with a touch of purple.

Re: HID Xenon 8000K

i can hardly believe you have great visibility. Its common sense that the higher output you got with, the less visibility you will. I'm sure you didn't pay to be disappointed in your bulbs, so you are being a little biased. I have 6000k philips ultinons and my friend went with the 8000k, his is much dimmer than mine. its worst in the rain, he can't even tell if he has on his lowbeams when its wet.

Re: HID Xenon 8000K

al503.. you know what I meant

Though unless the HID market has dramatically changed in the last year or so.. there is no 8000K.. its just tinted 5500/6000 bulbs.

I don't like the looks of 8000K. Makes me think of blue bulb ricers when I see the color.
