Anyone know how to take off the trunk to swap?
I am looking to swap my trunk with another forum member to go for the wingless look. Does anyone know the steps? And I am not sure how to take off the wiring part for the center brake light on the spoiler. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
Good luck...the torx bolts that bolt the trunk lid to the hinges are aluminum, you'll almost guaranteed strip them. Make sure you use lots of WD40 before you start turning. I cut the wire that goes to the 3rd brake light, couldn't find a clip...just snipped it right in the middle so i could easily crimp it back if i ever put the OEM trunk back on.
Any other suggestions for the torx screws? I'm switching to a carbon fiber trunk, so I actually need to loosen them. I'm afraid i'm gonna strip one already.

WD40 them like a ***** and let it sit overnight. That's how I got mine off.
Being aluminum and the fact you need to take them out, then I would purchase replacements and simply drill them out which is easier to do with a whole bolt instead of a stripped out or broken bolt. If they move easily then take them out the normal way, if they resist very much then drill and extract them which should be very easy to do. In any case I think I would replace with new regardless of how they come out or look.
