Difference between headlights...

I am totally new to the G world, picked mine up last weekend. But I was wondering about the 2005 G's do you just need to change out the bulb with a HID bulb, or do I need the kit to install onto the car?

You already have HIDs. They are in a reflector housing. 06/07 came with projectors.

No, because you already have HID bulbs...

You can, however, replace your current HID bulbs. I suspect you are after the white/blue color, which is most easily achieved by changing to a higher Kelvin temperature bulb. However, be warned that with higher temp ratings comes lower output (few Lumens).

Just don't go above 6000k or you'll lose quite a bit of light out-put. The Philips Ultinons have been well reviewed.

are you sure all the lights on 05s are HID? When you look at the sylvania site, it give the option I think.

OP, when you turn on the lights, do they instantly turn on and then get brighter or just turn on like normal headlights?
