My local dealer, infiniti of coconut creek down here in south FL, is offering me an aftermarket rear spoiler for like $370 or so. The oem factory spoiler is $500, both prices w/o install. They are charging me $135 for installation. My question is do you think they are getting a better quality spoiler than the ones on ebay from spoilerdepot, or wings west or are they just trying to screw me?

From my experiences, I would stay away from Inifiti of Coconut Creek. I originally went there to purchase my G and FX, they played so many games it was ridiculus. Eventually got my G at Warren Henry (they met CC's price and beat it by $2k). On top of that, I read another thread on here that the service dept. severly damaged another members vehicle. IMO I would not purchase any after market parts from the dealer, especially Infiniti of CC, dealerships will gank you big time! Do not give in to the false sense of security just because it is "Dealer Installed". Do your research, find the spoiler you want and a good body shop that will paint/install it.

the aftermarket oem look alike spoilers are not made or mounted the same. The gasket and install method are also different. They are prone to water leakage. Keep in mind the OEM spoiler also comes with the under body air diffusers....if you get it make sure they install those too.

You should know that when they drill into your trunk to install an aftermarket spoiler, technically, they are voiding the Infiniti warranty on your trunk and related components.
