Fixing Broken Bumper Need Suggestions
I bumped the passenger side of my front bumper a couple of weeks ago and it broke the bolt hole on the end (of the bumper) just above the turn signal. Now you can push the corner of the bumper back in but within a day or so it pops back out. I should also note that the part of the bolt hole that broke off is in about 20 pieces so gluing it back together is not an option.
With that said, aside for pop rivets or drilling more holes for screws or bolts aka rigging it, is there a way to fix the bolt hole like making a new tab out of epoxy and drilling the hole so that it uses the original bolt hole. Can it be repaired with a small amount of bondo or figerglass and resin to repair the area where the break occured so that a new hole can be redrilled to use the original bolt hole.
My preference is to use the original bolting location with no additional drilling to the fender or bumper.
Thanks
