Poly bumper's paint is peeling.

I have a poly nismo bumper that I bought from Klumzyee a little over a year ago and I got it painted at M1 Autobody in El Monte. I just noticed today that the paint is peeling right off the bumper. Some damage is obviously a result of rock chips and is kind of small but, there is a large part (about the size of a 50 cent coin) that I do not know how it was caused. You can literally peel the paint off as if the paint was on the bumper like a sticker or some adhesive vinyl. Also, the paint seems to be bubbling. I know very little about paint but I'm certain that it's not normal. My questions is, is the damage the result of a poor paint job or is it because my poly bumper is poor quality? I think that M1 may not have prepped the bumper correctly by not using an adhesion promoter on it to get the paint to properly stick to the bumper. Does that make sense? I have taken several cars to M1 and they seem to do a good job but I would like to have a second opinion before I bring it up to them. I feel that if I showed it to them they would somehow blame the damage on the bumper. Thank you, any response would be greatly appreciated.

I would think it would have been best for you to deal with the vendor who painted your product for you; I would want to doubt that they would blame for the damage on the bumper, unless you were like "hmm a drop of this and a drop of this - ohh no! my paint!" lol

it's deff a prep.

The bumper is not the best Q as well but with proper prepping you should have not had any pealing.

ya the problem with poly is that it needs to be primed and a lot of coats must be applied for it to stick. I recommand getting clear bra on it so it will stop the peeling once u repaint it again.

Poly is kinda oily and needs to be ruffend up a bit and you need to add adhesion promotion to it before painting it or else it will peel. Painting ABS plastic is easier.

ditto.. your shop doesn't know how to prep it. i've had my poly bumper for 20k+ miles and no peeling. It even takes rock chips very well. no chipping just normal pits as with any bumper driven on the road.
