G35 Door handle covers???

I recently purchased an 03 coupe in used condition and the door handle on the drivers side looks like it was previously a black bear's play toy.

One thing that's been on my mind lately was to simply upgrade it to the aluminum metal covers found on 05-07 interiors as opposed to old plastic 03-04 handles, now here's the pickle will the alignment and design for the metal covers(05-07) be the same so I could just simply pop it on my 03 coupe bracket door panel?

Any help will be appreciated!

^^^iuno about that. I find it hard to believe Nissan would redesign the mounting points between the years. If I find an 03-04 at a local meet I'll see if mine fit on theirs.

the are shaped different it won't fit, i've already asked toni are riverside a while back since i wanted to do the same. they may attach at similar points but aren't the same shape/design, look at the tops and edge that faces the rear of the car.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention, your right it seems the shape is a bit different and even if it were to fit on the 03's bracket it will look a bit odd with gaps and such I imagine, so thanks g7x5 for saving me some time and money.

Hopefully someone that has the same idea in the future will stumble on this thread first.
