Yeah put it on.. it makes it "stock" looking. It's better to keep things as near to stock as possible so it dosen't look ricey.

Just to give a close example:

I like this look.

Re: Oh Yeah - my custom Grille is Done

if it's my car,i would...what you have right now looks good but it kinda "plain"
here's a crazy idea.debadge the 'G' in g35 and put it there it also stands for your name.

Re: Oh Yeah - my custom Grille is Done

hee hee.. you're going thru what i went thru after I got the custom T-Rex's done.

I think the top comments I got were:
1. Take some shots from farther away outside in daylight!
2. Looks like a Maxima (slightly ghetto in your case)

But then people really like them in person. In fact i think you didn't like mine at all...but then it grows on you. Drive it a round a bit and see what you think. I'm hoping you didn't get the materials from Home Depot...because you won't get the stiffness you need.

I'd love to check it out some time... let me know when you are in the area, as my work schedule is pretty hectic right now.

Cheers, ted

Re: Oh Yeah - my custom Grille is Done

Ted,

I did get the stuff from home depot, if you want a fine grid like this, it is always going to be less that totally solid. It is still solid enough in my opinion. I'm back in S.F. now... so it's gonna have to be a while from now, unless you are goingto the track event on Oct 2.

I really do like the grill. Better sunny day pictures will show you what i mean. I REALLYlike it. ANd it will look that much better with a badge in the front.

That looks better, Gurgen. Great come-from-behind victory! :-)

I think the Infiniti logo will really POP against the black grille. Stick it on there with gum long enough to take a pic or two, and let us see how it looks.

Take care.

Here's a quick photoshop of how it could/would look.......................actually it might look pretty good, adding that finishing touch.

Bullseye, Martin...

I am happy you like it. I really like it too. What a difference, huh? Should never have posted the half-finished product.

I only wish you saw it in person... it looks FAR better than in the picture. THat cheap home depot material has the perfect shape for a grill, especially when painted.

Re: Oh Yeah - my custom Grille is Done

BTW,

did you guys notice that I painted a section of the rear/inside bumper blac, so it doesn't show from behind a black grille.

Re: Oh Yeah - my custom Grille is Done

Gurgen, doesn't the PE install require relocating one of the fluid reserves to the top of the intercooler (and directly behind the grill you've painted)? Mine is that way and of course the bottle shows up.

Or perhaps you painted the bottle?
