Even if the car is garaged and taken care of, after debadging, you can still have a silhouette.
Although washing it thoroughly might get most of it off, at the right angle and correct lighting, you can probably still see it.
The best way to permanently remove the silhouette is to polish it out with a buffer.
You can ask a local detailer with a good buffer, pads, and polishes to buff just your trunk.
Shouldn't cost much if you just get the trunk done.
I've buffed out my own debadging silhouette and a lot of other people's debadging fails.
Even years after debadging and washing, I could still see their silhouette in proper lighting.
After I buffed it out, you can't see anything.
