I put on my ebay trunk lip spoiler today and it is slightly misaligned. It's not enough that most people would notice but I'm sure if I posted a picture - people would be all over it. Is there any hope of correcting it?

 

did u drill holes or just 3m tape?

 

3m tape only.

 

post some pics. i did the same thing. and its slightly misaligned. it bothers me a little bit but im pretty sure to everyone else its not noticeable.

Couldn't you use a heat gun to make the 3M tape pliable, then take it off? Then give it another go with some new tape?

 

I'm not sure. That's why I posted the question. I don't see any reason I couldn't. I'll probably pick up the supplies today. I really want input on how bad yall think it is.

 

Is that the lip sold by Audi S-line? I have one on the way, that's why I ask, . Looks good if it was aligned properly.

 

yea remove both corners till the point it stops being misaligned and apply double sided tape on the bottom to stick it back up. double sided tape is 5 bucks for a roll at home depot or lowes

 

^ I don't know how the hell you got yours on correctly. I redid it and now it's hanging off the edge of the trunk on the right side and flush on the left. FML. I'm buying vivek's trunk.

 

It's so easy. It shouldn't be liftin up since the trunk is flat. I had problem with lifting on corners only with the one I used as a roof spoiler cuz the window curves on the corners and is not flat. Just heat up the tape with a blowdrier man it will stay put

 

installing it is easier with two people, one on each side..

 

Heat it up with hair dryer and slowly peel it off
