hey guys. recently i have been contemplating whether or not i should repaint my car, get a new car, or just leave it as is. my car is currently DG w/ black interior. car body is in decent/good shape with a few chips and a few scrapes all around. reason why im not extremely happy with my car is because i actually wanted pearl white in the first place, but settled for DG because thats all they had. everytime i see a white g35/37, 335, or a5 i drool like crazy and it makes me want to either repaint my car white or stop modding and get a new car. if i choose to repaint my car, i was going to do it the lexus pearl white ( love the color) or even consider doing an extremely dark metallic grey. what do you guys think? is it worth repainting the car and start modding the crap out of it, or leave the car DG as is and wait for a new car in the future?

those of you that has done full color change to the car, how much roughly did you spend and was it worth it? thanks for your time.

 

im in the same boat as u. i wanted a white g with blk int couldnt find one at the time and settle on dg. im happy with it jus woulda wanted white. if ur gonna keep the car for a very very long time then id repaint. if not leave it cus imo the value of the car will drop when u repaint cus it makes it suspicious as to why the car was repainted in the first place. might even be difficult to sell later on

 

imo leave it as it is. If you want white then get it if you want.

 

thats the thing, i dont know what i want to do right now. i mean, of course i want white, but also factoring in how much it costs for a decent paint job, which is like at least over 3k. not sure if its really worth it even though i like it. in the end i might have another car in a year or so, its hard to predict whats gonna happen.

thing is, i probably wont sell my car for the fact that g35's is depreciating so much and so fast. i see like 18 year olds buying them for like 10k. at this rate, im better off keeping my g as a 2nd car or give it to my dad in the future. so in a way, i dont really care about value, but not sure if its worth putting that much money into the car when i might be driving something else in a few years.

 

Get more mods and screw repainting. DG is a hot color as is.

 

yea lev, im def leaning towards that right now. probably keep the G and lease a g37 on the side or a5 lol
