G35 to Concept conversion

seems like more of a chore than a project.. don't know why you'd want a G37 over a G35 anyways..

I say go for it man. Don't let others deter you, you may find talents and skills you didn't know you had. The learning experience alone in all this may be worth the price of admission in and of itself. Plus if you pull it off cleanly you would not only have a one of a kind, but something also really nice to put in your portfolio if you decide to pursue customization as a career. Don't settle for a G37 if that isn't what you want, if you want the concept look, go for it.
