Painting Vinyl?
Can you paint vinyl?- like that stickers are made of?
I'm looking for a specific color and can't seem to find it in local stores... And online you just never know. I want the color to match exactly...
Is there a way you can paint maybe a flat black vinyl since it's a little rough?
Just wondering..

Paint is either oil or water based. look on the cans. If it says thin the paint and wash brushes with water then it is water based. If it says thin the paint and clean brushes with white spirit, then it is oil-based. Most of the time you can mix two water-based paints together or two oil-based paints together, but you can never mix oil and water paints. (though you can paint with them on top of each other).

Youre not searching hard enuf... they make vinyl in pretty much every color imaginable... They can even make it in pantone colors. If all else fails talk to a local sign/graphics company. The place I used to work for had a UV printer and we could print whatever we could imagine on adhesive backed vinyl. Graphics or just solid colors, then we'd throw it on the CNC router and cut them out.
