Oh okay jw I was thinking of ditching my stock spoiler as well and I can remove that Infiniti badge on trunk too and get all the holes filled and trunk re sprayed but prob wouldn't if I have to go through trouble of getting new rear shelf with light.. Curious as to how the OPs setup turned out...

Anyone know how big the actual holes are for the spoiler? Or how many there are? is it easy to remove the spoiler?

I will be getting a new rear shelf or some type of LED strip when I can afford it. Having no third brake light is a major safety issue in my opinion. I would rather pay the $230 and not have to pay the insurance deductible and other associated costs of a body repair for getting rear ended.

All 1986-later passenger vehicles must have a center mount stop lamp to be 50-state legal.

You will not pass inspection and it is a ticketable safety voilation.

Plus an extra brake light might be the difference between grandma rear-ending your pride and joy and her stopping in time

Oh it was already gone. I ended up painting the car much sooner than I thought and didn't have time to notice there was no interior third brake light. So when I had the trunk shaved and spoiler removed, I also removed my 3rd brake light.

It was removed in a shop. I don't know the details, but looking at the spoiler, I would say there were 5 holes. 4 that were about 1/4" and 1 that was about 1/2". Again, this is a guess based on looking at the removed spoiler only.

Search the username jayk and look at one of his threads! He has an inexpensive alternate solution for a new third brake light! As for the enclosure try posting a wtb on the forums or just check ur local junk yards!
