I rofl'd when I read this.

My Nismo bumper is not authentic but it has perfect fitment. The deleted tow hook is

My Gialla grille is authentic and it fits like crap; luckily it's painted black so the imperfections don't show up.

Sigh. My life.

i love how just because someone thinks something is replica it fits terrible.. commonly replicas fit better than authentics..

the reason we tell people the bumper isn't going to fit oem is because it is impossible to get OEM fit right out of the mold/box.. unless you take it to a shop who KNOWS WHAT THEIR DOING and the proper prep/install work is done then you should be close to oem fit or better

good luck finding your nismo..

Like I said and others, you start with the best fitting vendor you can and then you take it to a GOOD shop. That is the make or break step. Strafe is known to have very good fitment, the trunk I got wasn't perfect and I don't think a shop could even do that much about it, but bumpers are much more workable.

Tim -

Not saying you're not a good vendor at all. I will def. get it from you if I decide to pay the price for the OEM one.

Just curious about what after market company Nismo bumper fits best.

In the end, I will most likely go through Dustin at Strafespeed.

I dont really recall bad fitting nismo bumpers from any of our vendors, not lately at least. As mentioned before multiple times, it's the shop you choose that's most important. Even a bad bumper can be made to fit well with the right shop.

I was just concern becuase my buddy has a NISMO bumper thats was prep, installed, and painted from a "GOOD" bodyshop and he still had a gap on one side.

^ His shop wasn't good then. The shop I go to (R&J), doesn't let you leave and stays open until the job is finished perfectly.

its not the shop, the bumper was made wrong on one side, it was alittle shorter and of course you can't tell until it was put onto the car (defective bumper??).
nothing the shop can do unless he wanted to use bondo and mold it onto the car.
