Hi guys,

I have a question about the fitment of splash guards. I have a black 04 coupe and looking to install the OEM splash guards for the front and the rear. Is it something that can be easily removed once installed? I don't want to put'em on if it's gonna be PIA to take them off and/or if they leave permanent scars on my bumpers and skirts.

Any info would be great!

They should be easily installed and uninstalled. Also, they should not leave any permanent scars.

Looks like I got some bad info.
No drilling required. You will need to remove your wheel to get these installed. They'll use existing holes to mount. Just like it says below me.

 

If they're anything like the sedan ones, there are no holes needed to drill. The splash guards have predrilled holes and you use preexisting screws holding your fender liners in. There is no double sided tape required. They go on and off relatively easy.

 

G35 dont come with these stock?

 

A simple right angle ratchet screwdriver helps putting these on without removing the wheel. $10 tool at most tool stores.

 

That is correct. However, many people prefer to have someone else do it. :-/

 

i had to drill holes. 2 holes on the wheel fender side

 

Unless you guys are installing them with just the tape, you have to drill holes into the fenders and side skirt for the front and the bumper for the rears.

Took me a couple of hours to do the rears since I had to remove the wheels. I'm not a pro, but I'd rather do them myself than pay someone.

IMO they're worth every penny. It keeps the leaves and crap from getting onto the side of the car.

Looks wise, its good if you want to stay stock. If you're planning on getting aftermarket sides and rear, might as well do that from the jump. Save yourself the $100 or so.

 

the OEM rear splash guards really help the look of the G... when something on the road caused one of my rear ones to crack Tim@Grubbs had a new painted set at my front door in a few days at a great price

 

True. Rears make a big difference compared to the fronts.

 

I don't see any accessories listed for an '04 on your site. ???
