Quote: I have personally seen G Force 06's previous coupe and while some of you may not agree with his taste in his mods one thing is very clear when looking at the work he does on cars... He's a perfectionist in his work. The modifications he does to body panels and parts makes the fit and finish rival stock parts in every way possible.

When the time comes to install a kit on my car and have it painted I'll be bringing my car to him to have the work done for sure.

Why are some of you guys attacking his idea or plan for his car? I don't understand where the hostility is coming from... from what I've read in these 5 pages of posts I don't see anywhere that he bashed anyone else's car or was harsh with anyone
I'm not at all doubting his fabrication skills. I know for a fact he's good at what he does. He fabbed ghey fenders and 1/4 panel vents himself.

BUT, just because you can, doesn't mean you should!

I could widebody my car with pots and pans, doesn't mean it's gonna look good.

Haha, I see this car all day every day. My workstation is about 6 feet away from its parking space. Looks/sounds unreal in person.

4DGS, as much as I respect you I don't like how you're trolling this guy.

He has his own tastes and personally, I think it looked good on his car. I don't know so much about his mounted motor but regardless, his car looked nice.

And yes, I do like sedans. They have grown on me

Opinions are opinions. He took my incredibly brutal one better than 99% of people in the modified car world do. But, I never lie and I'm usually blunt.

Him bragging didn't help. I just dislike when people are so proud of something that is super weak by today standards. 10 years ago a lowered civic with tinted windows and wheels was some serious ****, now it's every other car on the road. What the OP has described is a pipedream idea with no real info or ideas. All he has said is
"I'm doing a widebody, this and that" By the way he talks and punctuates his writing, he comes across as a joke. Go read back on his posts.

When you have no photos to back up what you're doing, all you do have, is how well you can come across in speech. When you know what you're talking about, it shows. Read what he plans for wheels in the first post.

Guys,

i have read this thread from the start and i do not understand all the attacking.
I thought we are all car guys. We all have different tastes on what we like that is why there are so many different cars on the road ( Makes , models, colors ect. ) . I see nothing wrong with trying something that is different. some might like it and some might not but what is wrong with that ? No one has to hate just because someone wants to do something different.
He posted the start of something maybe because he is excited about doing what he about to do and and will be i am sure posting the progress and do not see anything wrong with that .

It is good for people to be different . It makes the world interesting !!

Life is to short !

Matt does tend to get excited about a new project when he decides to put one together. But prior to him deciding to post about it here he's already put in alot of time and research on what he's going to do. He wouldn't post about it if it wasn't something he was going to see thru to the end. He's already got the front bumper and the car he's working with isn't a lease like the last one so he's got alot more room to modify things and not have to worry about putting it back the way he got it after a period of time.

The least you guys can do is let him get the project rolling and post pics before you decide to bash him or his idea. If anything he should be given an opportunity to show the project under way with progress pics as its getting done before opinions about it start to fly

I thought this forum was supposed to be a place where enthusiasts can share ideas, help eachother out and teach/learn a thing or two. This thread doesn't seem to reflect that attitude toward the op from what I've read so far

All I'm saying is give him a chance to get the project started and post pics before tearing him a new one

The reason people are so negative is becuz we've all seen this before... Someone comes on the forums spouting off about this huge amazing project theyre gonna start and its nothing more than a wet dream that amounts to nothing. We all remember Mr. 500+ HP black/pink sedan... what happened to him... nothing. 95% of posts like this fizzle out becuz the OP is usually some newb who has 31 posts and thinks he owns the forums.

Its not just on Driver, this sort of smoke blowing takes place on pretty much every car forum out there.

And just from reading, the OP has started countless threads about this project and did the same a few years back with little results aside from some minor bodywork. If youre gonna come on a website with acclaimations of a project as big as a custom widebody, you better have some pics to back it up... before you go tooting your own horn

So what you are saying is that we should treat all people the same ? We should not give a person a chance ? we should condemn someone from the start ?

I say give the guy a chance to get things going and see what happens. If he does not follow through that is a different story .

I say give people a chance to prove them selfs before condemning them.
