A radical G35 Coupe...

I'm hesitant to post this picture on the forum...but since I'm going to have to live with the love it/hate it opinions of people on the street once the car is completed, might as well get used to it now....

this is what I expect my car to look like within the next couple of months. Most of the parts are on order and should arrive within that time frame.

the color below is to represent what it should look like and is courtesy of the photoshop skills of iLLestJrz over on My350Z.com

I'm debating between Rio Yellow Pearl (S2000/NSX) or Giallo Orion (Lamborghini Yellow).

I'm leaning towards Giallo Orion only because of the Lamborghini name.

Ignore the front license plate bracket.

Please keep your comments civilized

Looking forward to additional mods down the line to turn this car into a respectable show car...

For all those who have seen the green G35 Coupe in the Coupe Forum, you will be seeing a yellow coupe in the near future...

FOR THOSE WITH PHOTOSHOP SKILLS...

I may be looking for ways to break up the yellow on the car. if you have the time and creativity, add some of your personal flare.

Enjoy!!!!

Thanks again to iLLestJrz

Re: A radical G35 Coupe...

i think the car looks awesome with the kit. the only thing i dont like about this kit is the rear bumper. just wondering do you know if you can put the stock infiniti grill on that kenstyle kit because i would like it better then having that huge hole in the middle even though it has some grill mesh behind it

I actually like the color.. the front chin/bumper whatever isn't my favorite, but it's not bad.

Re: A radical G35 Coupe...

Maybe alittle more orange to the tone? Pure yellow would look too similar to the new 2005 350Z, which will be all over the road soon. Don't get me wrong, the color looks nice but you don't want to spend all that money and have people mistaken it for a new Z. I think the orange-ish yellow on the Lambo might be nice.

Also, I would recommend a different set of rims as those Volk GT-7 are very popular. Or maybe paint them in a color to compliment the color of the car. The body kit looks great ! wow~

Re: A radical G35 Coupe...

I'm actually a big fan of yellow cars (nice yellow not wateres Pee yellow) I like the nice bright yellow in the pic but do agree that it needs to be broken up abit. Perhaps tinted windows would help and maybe black rims with a polished lip? Just throwing it out there. Also by the mirrors, a little black on the base where it connect to the door may break it up a bit. I was thinkin if ur painting the whole car anyway, why not shave the door handles?
I am def. liking the color choice, very different, and the front bumper is ok (just my opinion) but something about it doesn't flow with the car. When I see that yellow i am thinking lightning fast and the bumper although nice, just seems to kinda slow it down... I dunno, could be me, but I give you mad props for doing everything!!! You will def be turning heads! As gar as hearing what peeps think, who cares as long as you like it!
Good Luck!

Re: A radical G35 Coupe...

i've read that one of the main ways to create a successful showcar is to get a car that hasn't saturated the show scene yet and IMMEDIATELY paint it with a non-factory bright color. After that, the next step should be a body kit and wheels.

I believe the logic was that, first you grab attention for the car with a wild exterior so it starts to get noticed, then use that popularity to feel out sponsors who might be able to finance or at least discount the most expensive part of the car.... the engine buildup & other go-fast goodies.

from the looks of this photoshop representation, your car will definitely be on the right track.

PS - for the wheels, maybe something less common... harder to find JDM wheels might make it more trick. dark tints and a dark wheel (graphite or black spokes with a polished lip maybe) might set off the yellow and match the black parts of the front bumper. maybe continue the black and yellow theme with black graphics on the car.... like an badass VQ powered hornet LoL

regardless of your wheel choice, a yellow G will certainly stand out at shows. sorry that was a mouthful but i was just reading something about putting together a showcar the other day.

Re: A radical G35 Coupe...

forgive the rough photoshop it's like 4am and i'm bored....

maybe a carbon fiber hood with the sides painted yellow to match the car, black gialla grill, dark rims, smoked sidemarkers, deep tints, no front plate bracket, and become the official G35Driver pace car......................

the hood effect i was trying to go for was like on GTR35's car:

like i said, i had a bad case of insomnia tonight and was lurking the forums.... didn't mean to excessively photochop your prospective ride.

Vinh,

You crazy ****! That looks pretty sweet. It will definitely get attention. The fact that it is a non-stock color just makes it 10 times sweeter. I agree with some of the other comments. You need a little bit of black in there to break up all that yellow. Also the wheels don't look quite right. I would think about having the center part of the Volks painted black maybe?
