on the drivers side master window switch the passenger window will not roll up or down. no clicking can be heard. if i use the passenger side switch it works, rolls up and down. i have already done the window reset procedure, but still the drivers side switch wont respond.

I personally would find out which wires in the door control the passenger window and jump them to see if it responds. If it does, then its just the switch

 

My driver rear window did not work from the front driver switch. Got a used one on ebay, fixed. Check car-parts.com

 

Our window controls are a little more complicated than that.

thanks for the suggestion, but the window motor does not stick or have the "go up then down" problem. as stated the window motor works fine and moves freely with the passenger window switch. only when i use the drivers side master switch does it not work. this leads me to believe that the driver master switch and/or relay may be faulty.

 

was it necessary to make two threads about this?
