I'd color match the whole mirror, but that's just my opinion

everything
you should try using it as tint on your windows too while youre at it.... that way when a cop pulls you over for illegal tint you can just "take" it off....

It'll stick fine, and I've only had my plasti dip on my front grill for a week and I have seen no rock chips at all, and i've been thru 2 car washes too.

This thread reminds me of myself as a kid, when I couldn't afford chrome headbolts on my first Ford I painted them silver also called T.J. Chrome. One of life's lessons, "If you can't do it right leave it alone!" Only time will tell if using plastic dip on your grille was smart. Using it on your mirrors doesn't sound like a great idea....leave it alone!

Why dont you just message Chris and see if he plasti-dip? Gives me a new idea though that came out pretty sweet on his car.

The first time I saw this process was today I think it is a good temporary solution to figure out what color you want an item painted. People use it because it is reversable, don't like how it looks peel it off also one person painted over theres right here https://g35driver.com/forums/media-s...lasti-dip.html Too much hostility in the thread.

Big deal that you wrapped 10 cars, what do you want?

Have you even read through the thread? Did you you see that i mentioned it was temporary and was getting opinions on a matte black look, gloss, or factory? You didn't. Leave the thread please

I plasti dipped my wheels and diffuser then painted over them with gloss black then clear.. came out fine. Seems to be holding up alright as well.

I say if you wanna see how it looks, go for it. If you dislike the outcome.. just peel it off. Not sure why everyone is trippin ***** here. It's not a "ghetto" alternative, it's simply an alternative. One that allows you to revert if the end result is disliked.

I would think that all the MEKP in it can definitly harm the factory paint after a while . MEKP can be used as a paint stripper . Like pouring nail polish remover on your car . It can make factory paint soft and lift or cloud it down the road or when peeling it off .Keeping it clean is a pain too cuz microfiber sticks to it and any polish can make it peel . It does lay down pretty flat but no where near a real matte black . I would only use it for maybe emblems or very temporary use on non painted parts . Also if you dont do multiple coats it will not peel off .
