Place in town - pretty reputable place said theyd do it for 100. is this high - low? and whats a good brand of tint to use? i know theres different types of film.

I had mine at 20% tint for around 200, which is a good price, but for you, seems a little too low to be true.

There is the ceramic tint film vs metallic debate going on, and after looking around metallic seems to interfere your radios (AM/FM, radar, etc.) but it shouldn't be a huge difference.

Ceramic films are also much clearer with less glare and distortion, IMO, but costs more.

I had ceramic done on mine.

I paid 150 for ceramic or titanium. Don't remember. Been 4 years, still looks new. Navi and Radio works fine.

As long as they aren't the dyed crap, and the shop can guarantee their work, go for it.

 

long as its a metallic tint and not the dyed then your good. Its the dyed tint that turns purple.

 

That's....^....what I was thinking, the less expensive tint will turn purple. 3M is one of the better tint companys on the market, in fact everything they make is very good!

+1... Many times with tinting you get what you pay for. 100 tint will last you about 6 months to a year before it needs redoing unless you want to look ghetto or rice fabulous.

 

Thats cheap I paid $100 because it was a buddy of mine and $40 for the windshield so I'll say go for it. Normally the windshield by itself is like $100

Had my windows tinted for $140 with lifetime warrantee...I say go for it
