The LEDs themself are identical . Also the chrome doesnt alter the LEDs at all . As teahead said the fact that the ring is smaller and recessed makes curtain angles flare more than the other ring .This is actually more of the deeper barrel reflecting light too . However 90% of the angles you look at matches both rings exactly and wont see any difference from OEM . Looking dead on it is perfect matching light output . The factory ring untouched you still get different intensities by looking at different viewing angles so its such a trivial thing nobody would be able to notice anything in person .A few people have seen it in person without letting them know what i did and they all thought the tails werent modified at all .When i told them i added the dual ring they didn't believe me . That to me passes the test of a oem quality retrofit .

 

I am having a hard time understanding why there is skepticism regarding the quality of this upgrade. From the allbeit poorer quality pics flip posted, the dual ring tails look as if they were factory made I'm my opinion. I'm just not seeing what the issue is.

I'm very impressed with how the all the work 04 and flip put into this project has turned out. However, I would love to see some better pictures, and videos of the tails installed. I assume that's coming.

Again, great work guys. Keep the media coming, and I think you'll convince anyone on the fence.

Im not really understanding what some are having a problem with either . I guess people got to try to find something wrong with everything . Im all for honesty and criticism and like being told if something is wrong but i really dont see a issue to criticize here.The only thing i can see thats a little off is the chrome but even that when installed is not a issue + theres always the free matte black paint option as well for people who dont want chrome . As for everything else its definitely up to my definition of OEM quality and im picky . As im sure you guys can see im not into building diy quality retrofits .

Like I stated they're just quick shots before I had to leave. And with any picture, it never looks quite the same as seeing something in person. The first and last pic are decent. The 2 rings look pretty much identical in person. And im one picky sonofabitch when it comes to stuff on my car looking perfect.... or its not going on my car

 

Hey, I wasn't the one being critical; I was trying to explain how others may think the LEDs don't match.

I already ordered my chrome shrouds and plan on DG04coupe to get it all set up for me.
