Alot of people have painted their stock sills. The thing to think about though, is if you have a body shop paint them and they do not do smooth them down (since they have a texture) then you'll get the "orange peel" appearence. This will take additional prep work to get the smooth, glossy finish and it may be just as well to look into aftermarket sideskirts. Check out the vendors on the forum as the prices may be comparable to what you'd spend on a quality paint job. Some venders offer the sideskirts pre-painted, so you can prolly pick up a set and slap them on.

Make sure you do them all the way around as well. Front and back included otherwise it would look weird IMO.

As he said...some shops will charge you more because of the prep work....better to go and buy sides.

are the nismo skirts shaped differently from stock, or are they just prepped & painted?
