Removing Exterior Window Trim

Does anyone happen to have any tips on removing the chrome trim around the windows? The PO painted the trim on my G black, but it's flaking off now, so I'd like to refinish it and can use any help I can get.

Looks like he partially bent it when removing it and it sounds like it'd be expensive to buy from the stealer.

Thanks guys.

I would not want to remove those. Tough job I bet, without bending em. I painted my window trim and grille with plastidip aerosol. For the window trim I just taped off real well and layed down lots of newspaper. I also have wrapped my window trim with black vinyl wrap. Some peeled off on a long road trip to Cali so I painted it with Plasti dip when I got back. The vinyl wrap is time consuming but not messy soooooo... That is probably the way to go.

Yeah, I can see it being anything but fun. I'd sooner just buy new trim and install it, but buying from the dealer is a rip... it's outrageous how much they're looking to get for half a pound of steel.

I've got nice, high quality black vinyl I'd like to wrap some new trim in... but that's only if I can find some new trim, or if I can salvage this stuff...
