Scrape on rear bumper.. can touch up fix this?

I scraped my rear bumper on an ill placed light pole in a parking lot. So far I've went to two shops and have gotten the below quotes:

Shop #1
Repaint rear bumper - $225
Repaint entire car - $900-1000

Shop #2
Repaint rear bumper - $275
Repaint entire car - $1250

I'm wondering if it would be possible to just repaint the damaged portion as opposed to the entire bumper. Would the paint not match properly? Could touch up paint be used?

I have several rock chips on my car as well which I was hoping to repair using touch up paint [see thread https://g35driver.com/forums/care-de...-repaint.html]]

I'm not too concerned about the rock chips as I am about the rear bumper scrape. Should I attempt at using touch up paint to repair the damages or simply get it repainted?

Let me know what you guys think.

id paint the whole bumper, looks to damaged to be repaired with touch up and look good. did the shop say if they were going to blend in the rear panels and trunk?

A touch up will do if you are not that meticulous.. but repainting the whole bumper would give you best output.. 529 auto service and collision center really did a great job on fixing the dent and scratches on my bumper before.. you can check them here on Houston auto repair shops..

I'm thinking I'll need some bondo to fill in the scrapes.. right?
And would you by any chance know how much they'd charge to repaint the bumper?

Maybe I am a little to pampered on the Services of Auto Explosion. I think 1k for a paintjob is a little to cheap! unless they are a family member or something!

^ I'm with you bro. Average price to paint just a bumper is around $300, and they're charging $1000 to paint the whole car? I'd be weary of a paint job like that.

Repaint the whole bumper, OP. Seeing that much touch-up paint is gonna bug you.
