l.e.d. help...........

who makes the brightest leds that'll work off of 12volts? have this blinker mod i'm doing and need led that'll glow bright in all direction, not directional...............thanks in advance......

Luxeon LEDs are the brightest. Even though they are LEDs, they do require a heat sink. They come in several different styles and colors. As for emitting light in all directions, these LEDs have three different "styles" to emit light. Make sure you buy the right one for your application.

Or....... you can buy a PIAA TERA 168/192 replacement for around $40 in Japan. It comes with its own heatsink and I believe it uses a 1 watt Luxeon LED. If you don't want to pay that much, get the PIAA TERA which is the same as the PIAA LED, but twice as bright.

Beats me~ Piaa claims their new TERA LED with heat sink is 12 times brighter than their original LED.
