New Burned Nismo Titanium Knob!
New Burned Nismo Titanium ****!
My friend and I have been playing around with coloring titanium, and we just wanted to share our latest project.
we started with an authentic Nismo titanium ****, we then proceeded to color sand it and do some polishing work on it, and then finally colored it via heat.
I think the results turned out pretty well
The top metal shift pattern emblem is ti as well and we decided to mirror polish it instead since it's so thin and VERY hard to get a good solid color out of that matches the rest of the ****.
I'm not going to get into all the details of the process involved or all the steps taken, but it's a pretty tedious job given that the insert is a delrin / nylon insert that is tricky to remove, and getting a consistent coloring can be tough etc...
you can see deep purples, Blues, and some bronze / gold
We're thinking of offering this service for your titanium ***** also (pm me with any particular questions or details as this isn't a for sale thread).
so now, on to the pics!
