Its not the actual dealership service dept., they have a separate body shop on the property. The labor is less than half of the price it is at the service dept.
I got estimates from both to fix just the hood, from the service dept i got quoted $850 and at the body shop i got quoted $250, LOL.

Labor at the body shop is $48/hr, which I was pretty surprised at. Paint labor also $48/hr and paint supplies $28/hr.

To fix the hood, install and paint the front bumper it should run me about $550-650 from them, unless they run into other problems. I guess once I get another estimate from a local body shop i'll make my decision.

if you are getting aftermarket bumper, you better get a quote when body shop actually has that bumper in their hands, sometimes they require allot of prep work. And if you go with poly bumper, make sure that shop you take it to knows how to work with aftermarket poly bumpers. I had mine painted by a bodyshop also used by infiniti dealer and they fvcked it up all kinds of ways.

Good to know.

Yeah the shop mentioned the estimate wouldnt be dead on unless they had it in their hands right then and there. I'll make sure they know how to prep it correctly since itt'l be coming in raw form, and yes i'm getting the poly one.

Does it matter whether i get an original or replica Kuruma Z? I've heard neither has really had many fitment issues and theyre perfect copies

Was going to give you the same suggestion.
Might as well right?

Ordered an original kuruma z bumper, gialla grille, hood hinges, shock absorber, and some other small stuff. Once it all gets to my body shop i'll be bringing the car in for a makeover :]

Unfortunately the body shop I picked got SUPER backed up the day I call to make an appointment, so now they cant even start until August 1st.

Really pissed considering all the parts were delivered to them today.
