Cool Replacing HID bulb

I have to replace an HID bulb, but have never done it. I managed to get the headlight assembly out so I could work on it easier, thanks to the instructions contained in this forum. My question is, does the silver module on the back of the HID bulb just pull off? Or does it need to be unscrewed? Any asistance would be greatly appreciated.

aren't these the bulbs you need to avoid physical contact or you'll get oil residue on the bulbs which can heat up !

it pulls off...next time just turn the front wheels in on the side your changing and you can pull the wheel well liner back and access it without removing headlights and bumper. =] saves you a ton of time..can be done in 5 mins

It's a twist and pull, just don't twist too hard in the wrong direction.

To make it a lot easier, you could also jack up your car to have extra room to fit your hand in the wheel well. Putting in the HID bulb without physical contact is a pain.

as long as your delicate with it... try twisting it lightly one way, then the other. youl find it easy. also, ya, make sure you DO NOT TOUCH THE BULBS WITH YOUR HANDS. i used latex gloves when i did to make sure. otherwise the oil from your hands with light on fire (i believe) when the bulbs heat up too much.
