Question headlight holds moisture/water

Hi. 2004 G35x AWD Sedan. Whenever I go through a car wash and get an underbody flush, my passenger side headlight gets water and moisture in it. Not flooded but enough to make me nervous. The driver's side is fine. Any way to check the headlight(s) frame or around the headlight to see if there are any "leaks"? What might I look for? Looks fine from the outside. Thanks for sharing your expertise.

+1 to saywat? It is better to just reseal the light. I had the same issue with my vehicle but it was covered under warranty and it cost them $1900.

Yes, but you don't need to open it to reseal it. You're more likely to cause more damage doing that.

Just remove it, and run a heatgun around and around the seal area (where the lens meets the plastic housing). Aiming the gun from the plastic housing side (rear of headlight) will lower the chance of damage to your lens, and allow you more control.

if at any time the plastic starts looking glossy, you're getting it way too hot.

That should fix your issue.

For good measure, you can grab one of those small packets of "silica gel" from any craft store and put it inside the headlight, it'll clear out minor moisture as well.
