Anybody painted their car? I painted my 93 Celica a couple years back. Thinking about painting my 03 LR Coupe gunmetal. Probably a single stage two part paint. Several coats and some wetsanding/buffing work. I know if I prime the whole car it will definitely turn out better. But does anybody think painting gunmetal over LR would require it? With the red affecting the outcome of the gunmetal?

 

Just plasti dip your car. Would be TONS easier and could look really good!

 

Oh god....Pay to have ur car repainted or don't touch it. Rattle canning a car is beyond stupid.

 

To clarify I will not be rattle canning my car lol. Im no expert but im not a stranger to painting. We have a booth here for use. Ill be doing it myself

 

You need to at least seal the paint if you are not going to use primer they make a primer/sealer you can use if you just want to do a quick paint job. Just remember to SAND the car COMPLETE as paint does not stick to a unsanded surface
