Smile 3rd brake light

need some some help on installing an led strip on the third brake light. my as most of them has broken and i dont want to buy a new one and there are some problems with people sending them out to led marker. im planning on using this strip

my question is can i just cut the the connector of the old led board and hook it up the cable of the new strip and plug everything back up or do i have use a fuse somewhere?

No, don't do that! It doesn't work. I just went through the same thing a over the summer. The third brakelight is on its own higher voltage system independant from the rear brakelights. The two diods and resister used on the circuit board has to be incorporated into the LED strips if the diods or resister aren't faulty. I'm working with an electronics guy to remedy that problem on my 07 G35 coupe. I will post more info on the progress.
