Spoiler Brake Light wiring question

I searched this topic and found a few related threads but it didn't seem that anyone had figured it out yet.

I have a wingless 06 coupe and I just put on a trunk lid with an OEM wing. However, I am starting to think it may be a replica wing, as the wiring coming from the brake light does not have the brown connector plug, just two wires (white, and white-blue) with bare copper wire exposed. I can't seem to get it to work, and during my testing I blew a fuse. I also never got a reading from a volt meter from the brown connector plug on the trunk wire harness.

Is there anything special needed to have a wing brake light installed on a wingless car, like something they might have left out? Also, anyone know where I can get a brown connector plug? I cant find them anywhere.

THanks.
