How's the paint as fair as it matching?

 

does this grill come painted? and is it hollow or is there some sort of mesh behind it? I would love to stick an infiniti emblem on the grill if possible

 

Well the paint is an exact match, meaning you cant tell the diff. The grille DOES come painted if you like, both the grille and the mesh. I AM REFERRING TO THE SILVIA PARTS GRILLE!!! As far as I know the Gialla does not come painted from ANYWHERE! you have to get that painted aftermarket!! But the silvia parts grille now has a good fit and has good paint on the grille. I have noticed a few chips that have come about from driving the past week in the mesh in the grille. However this mesh is easily removed and can be repainted very quick. This is something I will probably do once the weather gets warmer!!

how long ago did you order ur replica grille? i ordered one last week and they sent me my $$ back saying they didnt have a place to paint them anymore..anyone else have this problem?

 

I emailed them last week and they told me to check back in a couple of weeks since they are looking for a paint place. They also told me the price may change depending on how much the new place charges to paint...

 

MemoryFab: I was told in an email that free shipping was only to Cali since they have their warehouse located there. I asked about shipping to Hawaii so I dunno if MemoryFab meant to say free shipping to the continental US instead of only Cali. But the price of shipping through air from MemoryFab is more expensive then other places such as japanparts & rbmotoring (even though all of these places ship straight from Japan).

On the other hand, the SP grill was only $225 painted and shipped to Hawaii!

 

yea, thats what i got from them...kinda sucks, i was lookin foward to putting the grille on, kinda weird that a bodyshop would go outta business like that, idk...i hope the price doesnt change that much b.c if it does i might change my mind a lil bit.
