i know it's not a body kit, but I want to get my engine cover painted ivory pearl white. Anyone know what I should use to paint it and if it will be a smooth finish? Did you people who already have it painted, take it to a paint shop?

 

The basic procedure of painting is sand, primer and paint (with several processes in between). I have heard the IP paint is the hardest to match, according to several members on the board. The finished product should be smooth just like any painted body part. A professional paint job should do the trick.
