How to take apart center console?
Hey i was wondering if anybody knows how to take parts of the center console out.
The main part i am talking about it the part around the shifter. If anybody knows how please post here

Put a flat screwdriver in the back (towards armrest) and pry up. There's a little notch there for it. After you get it up a little use your fingers and keep pulling straight up.
it might be wise to put a cloth over the screwdriver first too, to protect the easily scratched console
also, you're gonna need to take off the shifter i think... not sure how to do that on a 6MT since i have an auto

Well to take off the shifter its real easy on the 6MT. Just use a wrench and twist it to the left (clock wise).
But as for taking it apart. Its easy right? i should be worried to break it?

unless u wana take out ur radio and stuff...
Thats a real pain.. Trust me.. taking it apart like what 6-7 times now.. still a BEEP to put it back together!

After you remove the console the first time , the clips get far easier. From then on (6MT) just pull up (with a finger) under the the edge were the leather boot meets the console plastic. I can basically take the console out , with no tools in about 1 minute, now.
