05-07 Interior trim screw up

I was cleaning my interior trim. Had some crud on there that would not come off and MAGIC ERASER sponge sitting my back seat. Here comes the stupid part, I tried small portion on the trim and it left a haze/slight scratches on the aluminum trim, only noticeable at certain angles it looks dull...
I stopped at a very small section, but was wondering if there is anything can use to remove the micro scratches/haze left on the trim. Are the pieces real aluminum or plastic? Is there a special coating on the pieces that I could have damaged?
Before trying anything else I wanted to check for advice.

Cheers.
Kristopher
