Easy way to change Clearance Lights
Ok, i decided to change out my clearance lights today using the "peel back method." I did however remove my tire just for the fact I thought it would be a little easier with that thing outta the way.
Once I got all the screws out and peeled the wheel lining back, I saw that the clearance light was pretty easy to get to from the top of the car ( engine bay ) once I knew exactly what I was looking for. I then reached threw the top of the car and pulled the light out, changed the bulb, and put the CL back in. After I spend a good 30 minutes getting the tire off, lining screws out, all that bs!! I just went to the left side and pulled the light out from the top changed the bulb and put it back in. The right side of the car has more room than the left, but my hands are pretty skinny so i got em in their on the left side with no problem. Anyways that bulb took a good 3 minutes to change and we were pretty disappointed in all the effort we put in that was not needed. Anyways im changing out two more people's car's tommorow, should be a breeze now!

great info... i plan on updating my bulbs soon... but was weary about doing it before because of all the supposed work that went into it. i'm glad u found a better way. do u have to feel around for the bulbs to do it without going underneath? i haven't looked into this yet... hope it's easy for a first timer. got any tips for me?
-regards.
ps. what bulbs/leds did u put in?

Hey Diamond thanks for the tip. Saved me a lot of time. I changed my clearance bulbs yesterday with your method and it worked! The passenger side bulb was a lot harder to get to though. I was gonna give up after about 10 minutes of trying to reach it. I finally said F it, went for it, and reached it (barely). (Cut my hand slightly doing it)
For everyone else, do not attempt this if you have above average size hands. They won't fit! And for those that do, prepare to get nicked up a bit.
