ok so my passenger door lock or something has died. Its locked and the interior lock wont unlock it and the electric lock switch wont open it, theres no key hole on the passenger side to unlock it. Doors shut so cant take the door card off as it overlaps the frame. Does anyone have any ideas off how to get it open/unlocked so i can fix it???? Without cutting the door card if possible. Cheers

 

Maybe a locksmith knows how to jimmy it?

Nope, none of the locks seem to work. I have no idea, i could fix the locks no worries if only i could actually open the door to get the door card off.....arrrrgh..headache...

 

Have you checked fuses and the bcm module.

 

No but 99% sure its mechanical fault. It has aftermarket actuators and they are pulling the switch just not popping the lock. Guessing its sliipping or a broken wire that pops the lock. They tend to blow apart after a while but never have not been able to get the thing unlocked. The only way i think is to practice my breaking into car skill with a rod down the window and pull the wire somehow. Fixing the actuator isnt my problem its getting to door open to do it.

 

So take to the door card with a saw or angle grinder.....damn it..

 

Ryan, did you ever get the door open and get this fixed? Mine just did the same thing today.

Passenger door is locked.
Won't unlock using the passenger door unlock button.
Won't open pulling the inner door handle.
Won't unlock from from the door unlock switch on the drivers door.
Door won't open from the outside (duh, the door is locked)

If I use the remote, I can unlock the door and then the door opens fine, so maybe its not the same thing. I didn't see you mention the remote, so not sure if it's the same thing, but let me know if you fixed it and how.

Your lucky as mine wont unlock with any method. If you can get it open pop off your door card and fix the broken lock or handle. Im still stuck with a door i cant open. Still looking for ideas of how to open it????.??

 

Ok so finally got the door open today. Chose the easiest part to replace and cut it out. The inside door handle was it,so hacked it to bits. Just behind the handle I found the wire that pulls the door lock had snapped and there was enough sticking out to grab with the pliers and pop the lock. This highlights a floor with the $5 door lock actuator fix on a passenger door. If the wire snaps your buggered...... If the wire snapped in the middle hack your door card up. I dont see how it would be possible to remove the door card with the door shut either as it overlaps the door frame and the dash most of the way round.
So im up for a complete new door lock actuator factory one and a interior door handle....Yay..

 

Well, atleast now the door is open and you can get to it and get it fixed.

Thanks for the info. Got mine open and door panel off, and the cable going to the manual door lock button had just slipped off the back of the button. So I lubbed the cables while I had it off and put it all back together. Works fine.

Hope you get yours back together soon.
