Hey guys,
can someone tell me how to depin the harness for the steering wheel button harness? popped the little plastic retainer off but i cant figure out how to pull the pin out.

tried a molex minifit jr pin remover which didnt work.

 

i like to use a diaper pin. gives you something to hold. if you look into the plug where the other connectors pis would go, it looks like a T. insert the diaper pin or needle on the leg of the T towards the top. pull diaper pin down the leg of the T. after you hold the pin down you can pull out the wire. sometimes it helps to push the wire in a little to take pressure off of the retaining clip

 

i actually got it yesterday. but now today i cant seem to get it at all. the plastic is just warping and getting disfigured... gah. im getting frustrated. lol thinking about just cutting and resoldering

like the little square hole at the bottom of the T leg is not supporting the diaper pin pulling down and just getting misshaped

 

so i am sticking something in at the bottom of the T and pulling down. is this right? i cant get the pin out at all anymore and its just ******* up the harness plastic
