When I purchased my G I didnt notice that the drivers side mirror had a crack straight through the middle of it. You could literally wiggle the thing. Instead of getting a rep mirror that needed to be painted, I wanted to just purchase an OEM mirror. It sometimes requires a bit of luck to get one in your color and of course you always see them for sale when they aren't in your color. I found a couple threads on this forum stating that you could just swap the posts so thats what I did. Wasn't very difficult. You just have to pull 2 clips on the plug and pull the wires. Fish the wires through the hole, replace the post, and put the wires back through. Anyway, here are some photos since the threads I did find didnt have any.
