So it’s kind of pointless at this point since I already installed the new shift **** but is it true you’re supposed to remove the plastic trim to remove shift *****?? I seen countless videos especially from mishimoto (my shift **** brand) when they simply just unscrewed the oem shift **** and installed the new one.I Did however noticed that after the install that my shifter has a lot of play especially neutral but it might just be me being paranoid
