Another satisfied customer: Bat's overlays

I finally got around to getting my overlays installed. I got the tail light, front signal and front corner overlays in 3/10 tint...

I got a local tint shop to install them and they did it real easily.

I really like the overlay for the front signal and front corner lens. I like the stock look of the amber lens and the overlay makes it a bit more sporty.

no i think we can only have "yellow" and "white" for the front turn signal

yellow, white, red are the only exterior lightning allowed in cali

Aside from the legality, good luck getting the amber lense out. Its near impossible! You have to heat the headlight housing up, crack it, remove the amber lense, the seal it back up. Kinda hard to do and very risky. Not at all worth it!

looks like I'm the only one who brought mine to an installer that destroyed them Did you just give him the overlays? Or did you give him instructions?

I gave him the overlays and the instructions. I told him beforehand that they apply just like tint, and when I told him that the lightbulb seemed to go on in his head.

Sorry to hear that yours got messed up.

Well it was a $38 mistake, nothing for me to get really upset for. I ordered a new set and he said he will do them for free and if he messes them up again he will pay... The guy I went to was a really nice guy, he even took a few minutes to fix some bubbles I had in my tint on the rear window all free of charge.

Well I don't have a full body shot yet cause I haven't had a chance to wash the car since its been raining here for the most part. But I do have some comparison shots of stock vs. overlay from the dyno day that we just had. Hope these help for some people trying to make the decsion. Remember, these are the 3/10 overlays, so there is only a slight distinction from stock, but then again that was exactly what I was looking for.
