Weight
So after a while of messing around with my g35 coupe, I decided that I wanted to go full “racecar” and try and shed as much weight as possible. So with some help, me and few others are going to make the G full carbon. Replacing all panels, doors, fenders, bumpers, roof (with sunroof delete) and the hood. And then fully gutting the interior. I don’t doubt that this has been done before, but personally I can’t find any information on this. So where would this put the weight at. I’m just trying to get a feel for it. And if anyone’s going to tell me it’s stupid, not worth it, blah blah blah, don’t waste your time because I’m doing this and it’s my build.
Going with racing seats. And I’m also getting a 2j built for the build because I know the DE’s can’t make any decent power reliably (sadly.)

Are you going for more than 800 whp or something? Anything below 600whp is plenty reliable for the block with better studs and HR gaskets, anything over that it probably needs to be sleeved. Crank can handle plenty of power (at stock rpm levels). Rods are the weak point but if you're going with a high power build you're definitely using different rods and pistons anyways.
I mean if you're getting a 2J for really CHEAP that makes sense but those things are usually fetching a premium, honestly if you want huge power on a light chassis you should be looking at an EVO unless you have a LOT of money to invest into the project.
