Windows ****ed
Windows ****ed
My passenger side window rolls 1/3 of the way down whenever the door closes and I’ve tried resetting the motor I am truly confused. Also the drivers side window control for the passenger window rolls the window down no matter if I try to roll it up or down until the window is all the way down then it will roll up. Any input would be very helpful thank you in advanced
Sounds like the motor encoder died, replace the motor.
You can try to do the motor encoder recalibration steps, won't cost you anything, but it's probably the encoder died. Either way you're removing the door panel so might as well try to recalibrate it first.

To remove the door panel first remove the little square of access trim plastic inside the door handle lever on the inside door panel, then use a flat blade screwdriver and remove the brushed aluminum trim cover over the door panel pull handle (slot at the bottom to pry with a screwdriver.
Now you have access to the three 10mm bolts, remove them, then use the same flatblade screwdriver and pop out the bottom of the door panel to separate it from the door, once it's fully popped free along the bottom edge just lift it straight up to separate it from the door. You can then unplug the courtesy light and the door window switch (strongly recommend disconnecting the battery first or the BCM gets confused and you have to cycle the key switch on/off a half dozen times to get it to recognize the door switch again). The door handle cables are self-explanatory and super easy to remove.
Once the door panel is disconnected entirely you're left with the metal inner cover, there's a plastic "sticker" the covers up the access hole for the window motor encoder reset switch, follow the steps in that link I posted to recalibrate the motor, it's VERY simple.
All these steps are super easy, there's nothing difficult about recalibrating the encoder, just don't click the switch all the way up/down to the "automatic" function, everything is done with the first click of the switch which is "manual" window operation.
