The LEDs are pretty damn bright, but I don't think they are quite as bright as the stock ones. Without the load Resistor, you'd have a fast flash, like if bulb was out. Even though they aren't as bright, I like the way they look. They gather a lot of attention especially since I have LEDs in my sidemarker (made that into a blinker as well). No I don't have the rears done yet. That's my next project. I'll be using the same 7440 15-LED bulbs but in red.

you might get turbo blinkers that way, the car won't be able to compensate the difference in resistance, you need a blinker resistor.

All you guys are doing really is replacing the dual filament bulb with a single filament bulb. The stock 03-05 bulb is a dual filament 7443 bulb, if you just go buy a 7440 bulb then you will get the same effect without having to dremel or cut stock wires.

Is it possible to get a 7440 bulb that isn't "ultra white" or amber? What would happen if you put one of those PIAA xtreme whites behind the amber casing?

My 03.0 is like this. The headlight-mounted turn signal does not act as a running light, it only illuminates when I put the turn signal on.

I bought it used. I dont know if someone already modded it (doubt it, it was a corporate lease vehicle), or if thats how 03.0's are.

u cant use the single fitment bulb because it wont fit in the socket, waste of money...just take out the dual fitment bulb inside ur headlights and bend the 2middle wires till it breaks off and put it back in. keep the 2remaining outside wires intact...no need to tape and its a free diy lol
